The head of the “Union of Informed Citizens” organization, Daniel Ioannisyan, wrote on his Facebook page:
“As a result of the Ukrainian attacks on Russia, gasoline will become cheaper in Armenia.
As you know, as a result of the Ukrainian attacks, there is a gasoline deficit in Russia, and the EAEU member states are often forced to buy gasoline from third countries (Romania, Bulgaria, etc.). Still, this gasoline becomes more expensive due to being taxed with customs duties.
To address this problem, the EEC Council has decided to zero the import customs duties on gasoline, diesel fuel, and other types of fuel by June 30, 2026, inclusive.”
