The best way to fight the enemy is to recognize its essence. Atanesyan

Vahram Atanesyan, a former member of the Supreme Council of Armenia and a member of the National Assembly of Nagorno-Karabakh, wrote on his Facebook page:

“It is either complete manipulation or complete ignorance when they say that Aliyev, allegedly, after the 2022 Prague meeting, said that “the territory of present-day Armenia is Azerbaijani land.”

In the preamble to the Constitutional Act of Azerbaijan, “On the Restoration of State Independence,” which serves as the basis of the country’s current constitution, it is stated in black and white that, under the Turkmenchay Treaty, Tsarist Russia “occupied Azerbaijan.” Under the Turkmenchay Treaty, the Yerevan and Nakhichevan khanates passed from Persia under Russian rule; therefore, in the sense of the Azerbaijani constitution, “the territory of the former Yerevan and Nakhichevan khanates is Azerbaijan.”

Baku adopted the constitutional act on October 18, 1991, when Nikol Pashinyan was probably still a schoolboy, and the constitution in 1995.

And, in general, the claims to the territory of Armenia in Baku are as old as their folk song “Iravanda Khan Galmad/ There was no Khan left in Yerevan.” The best way to defeat the enemy is to understand their essence."
