Daniel Ioannisyan, head of the "Union of Informed Citizens" organization, wrote on his Facebook page:
"So, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria are going to build a high-voltage line under the Black Sea to connect their power grids. This is an excellent opportunity for the energy stability and development of all these countries.
We investigated at the Union of Informed Citizens and found out that Armenia, no matter how much it wanted to participate in it, was left out of this project (link in the comments).
Joining the program would significantly increase the potential for creating profitable solar and nuclear power capacities in Armenia.
But it seems that this will not happen. Moreover, the main reason for this is that Armenia does not have a responsible department for the energy sector and has not been able to start the construction of high-voltage transmission lines between Armenia and Georgia for 10 years (the money for which has long been available, the interest is "free").
P.S. "Don't be surprised, there are more employees in the Union of Informed Citizens than in the executive branch, working in the energy sector (TKEN employee). That is one of the most failed sectors of this government."
