Apolitical philanthropists

Arsen Torosyan, a deputy of the National Assembly’s KP faction, wrote on his Facebook page:

“It has been proven many times that the amount of money does not necessarily mean the presence of intelligence, especially political intelligence. It seems to Samo of Kaluga and the terrorist priests that they can silence us with lawsuits.

Referring to today’s publication about me, I confirm that in the lawsuit filed against me, the “great benefactor” Samo petitioned the court to apply a security measure of 9 million drams. For reasons and justifications that remain unclear to me, the court granted the petition. We will examine this judicial practice later, when it is not enough that some people sue politicians for their political statements, and the courts also make such decisions.

I have also petitioned the court to overturn that groundless decision to secure the claim, because I am not going to sell my property and flee Armenia, especially out of fear of Samo.

And to the “benefactor” Samo, who has amassed his fortune in Kaluga, I will say one thing: you or your “defense counsel” are so much more than that, give a political response to our political statements, although it is obvious that neither you nor your hired “defense counsel” are so much more than that,” Torosyan wrote.
