The chairman of the “For the Republic” party, Arman Babajanyan, wrote on his Facebook page:
“Being the chairman of a liberal party, joining the Alliance of European Liberal Parties, enshrining Armenia’s EU membership in the party program, but in reality fighting with all his might to establish a Russian military base in Syunik and remove European observers from the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and then writing a letter to the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, demanding the release of Bagrat Galstanyan, Mikael Ajapahyan, and Samvel Karapetyan.
And why not turn to the mayor of Gyumri, Vardanik, or, together with him, more directly, to the commander of the 102nd military base, bypassing Putin, Lavrov, and Kiriyenko. Immediately, where necessary.
And more frankly, sow tobacco, tobacco.”
