ARF is "shooting itself in the foot." Atanesyan

Vahram Atanesyan, a former member of the Supreme Council of Armenia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, wrote on his Facebook page:

In the 1990s, there was no political persecution against the ARF in Armenia. Criminal cases were initiated against individual ARF members, court rulings were made that entered into force by the procedure established by law, and have never been overturned.

The ARF members sentenced to imprisonment were released from serving their sentences by the decision of President Robert Kocharyan, “due to a change in the situation.” Comparing today’s situation with the end of the last century, the ARF is “shooting itself in the foot.” For what reasons this is being done is the ARF’s problem, but the political narrative developed is not in its favor.”
