The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) writes that Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to convince Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to start a war against Ukraine.
According to experts, the fact that Putin accepted Lukashenko's theses during the meeting in Minsk without convincing the Belarusian leader to correct them indirectly confirms this assessment.
ISW experts still believe that the participation of Belarus in Russia's war against Ukraine is unlikely.
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, denied earlier that Putin intends to discuss Belarus' participation in the war with Lukashenko.
