"NATO should allow Ukraine to attack Russian territories." Foreign Ministry of Latvia

On November 29, within the framework of the NATO foreign ministers meeting in Bucharest, the Latvian Foreign Minister Edgar Rinkevich called on NATO to allow Ukraine to strike bases on Russian territory. "We should allow the Ukrainians to destroy the missile launch sites and airfields," the minister said.

Rinkevich also urged the alliance members not to fear the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

So far, NATO members have refrained from supplying Kyiv with weapons of sufficient range to hit targets deep inside Russia.
