Putin allowed the mobilization of those convicted of serious crimes

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed amendments to the conscription law, lifting a ban on conscription to mobilize those with significant convictions for the most severe crimes.

Now it will be possible to send those serving sentences for murder, robbery, and drug trafficking to war.

At the same time, mobilization will be prohibited for those convicted of sexual crimes against minors and those convicted under "terrorist" and "extremist" articles.
