"Ukraine should be given an integrated air defense system. These are short-range and low-altitude systems, then medium-altitude medium-range systems, and finally long-range and high-altitude systems. The combination of all these systems will prevent Russian aircraft, helicopters, and missiles from entering Ukrainian airspace," said Mark Milley, head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.
In the West, they began to talk not only about the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems, as before, but about the construction of a whole system, which is essential because foreign air defense systems are poorly integrated with the existing Ukrainian air defense system. Now, in the case of the new air defense system, they will operate much more effectively.
