On October 7, in his address, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced, "In six days, the Ukrainian troops liberated more than 500 km² of territory in the Kherson region." Zelensky said, "Since October 1, more than half a 500 km² area and dozens of settlements have been cleared and stabilized from fake Russian "referendums" in the Kherson region alone."
