Germany and France oppose the large-scale ban on issuing Schengen visas to Russians. This was reported by "DPA" agency on Tuesday, referring to the document at its disposal with the position statement of the two countries, which is addressed to other EU members on the eve of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU countries in Prague.
In an interview with The Washington Post on August 9, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Western countries should ban all Russians from entering their territory. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba later called on Twitter to stop issuing visas to Russians. :
