Biden and Zelensky will have a telephone conversation

On August 25, US President Joe Biden will call his Ukrainian counterpart Vlodomir Zelensky. This is reported by CNN, citing the official representative of the White House, John Kirby.

The leaders will discuss reports about Moscow's plans to hold so-called "referendums" in the territories of Ukraine.

Kirby noted that the US has information that Russia may hold "referendums" in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions of Ukraine in the next few days.

"The United States and the international community have made it clear that any attempt to establish control over the sovereign territory of Ukraine will be considered illegal," Kirby emphasized.

The representative of the White House added that the presidents would also discuss the issues of arms supply to Ukraine by the USA.
