Ferrari slows down the pace of the transition to electric cars: the first model is presented

Italian automaker Ferrari has announced that it has revised its electrification strategy, reducing the proportion of all-electric vehicles to 20%. This means that the company’s model range will now consist of 40% petrol, 40% hybrid, and 20% electric vehicles.

The company explained the change as a “customer-centric approach and new market realities”. Along with the reorientation, Ferrari has shown for the first time the technology of its upcoming all-electric model, the Ferrari Elettrica.

The chassis and powertrain of the new car were presented in Maranello during a technology show. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2026, with a world premiere expected next year.
