Snapchat is making it a paid service to save memories

Snapchat has announced that it will soon start charging users to save old photos and videos on the app. The decision has sparked outrage, particularly among those who have accumulated many memories over the years.

Snap notes that most users do not exceed the 5GB limit, so the change will not affect them.

Snap’s blog post states: “These changes will allow us to continue investing in improving Memories.” The company also promises that those with more than 5GB of memory will receive 12 months of temporary storage, allowing them to download their photos and videos.
