OpenAI has announced the launch of its most potent and advanced model, GPT-5, which is available to all ChatGPT users, even in the free version.
According to the company, the new model is more innovative, faster, and more useful, especially in the fields of writing, programming, and healthcare. “I tried to go back to GPT-4, and it was a sad experience, to say the least,” shared CEO Sam Altman.
The new AI promises to be smarter, faster, and more useful, reducing the number of false answers and providing more accurate, secure answers. It has passed 5,000 hours of security testing and can build complete applications or websites in a matter of seconds from a simple command.
Michelle Pokras, head of the post-training team, said: “This is the first time that users have access to a reasoning model for free. If they exceed the limit, they will be able to use the GPT-5 mini version.”
