A new strong flare has been recorded on the sun

On the morning of August 4, at 08:57 Yerevan time, a M2.1 magnitude flare was recorded on the Sun in active zone 4168, the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Siberian Physical and Technical Scientific Center reported.

The flare is the second in recent days; the previous day, an M2.9 flare occurred in the same region.

Despite the direction of the flares towards the Earth, scientists note that at the moment, there has been no impact on the magnetic field or the operation of space devices.

Solar flares are classified by intensity from class A to X, where class M is considered strong. They can be accompanied by plasma emissions and cause magnetic storms.

At the moment, the subsequent increase in solar activity does not affect the Earth, but specialists continue to monitor developments closely.
