Tesla sales in Europe have fallen sharply

While electric car sales are growing in the 27-member European Union, Tesla’s market share has fallen sharply. This is due to the political activities of the company’s founder, Elon Musk, and the obsolescence of Tesla’s model range.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), Tesla sold only 5,475 cars in Europe in April, which is 52.6% less than in the same month last year.

In the first four months of 2025, Tesla’s sales fell by 46.1%, reaching 41,677 cars.

Once the leader in electric car sales, Tesla lost ground to at least 10 competitors in April, including Volkswagen, BMW, Renault, and the Chinese company BYD.
