According to Reuters, Tesla has temporarily stopped shipping parts for its Cybercab and Semi electric trucks from China to the US market due to rising tariffs on Chinese goods.
The tariffs imposed by Trump have reached 145%, which has forced Tesla to reconsider its plans. The company can no longer absorb these additional costs.
This may disrupt the company's plans to begin mass production of the Cybercab and Semi models in 2026 in the US states of Texas and Nevada, respectively.
The Cybercab will be a robotaxi without a steering wheel and pedals. Production of the two-door model will begin in 2026 and will be sold for around $ 30,000. Production of Semi trucks is also planned to increase to meet orders.
