The eighth test launch of the Starship prototype spacecraft failed. It exploded immediately after takeoff, according to the BBC.
About 10 minutes after launch, at an altitude of about 150 km, it began to make chaotic rotations when it was already separating from the rocket carrier. Then, sparks flew, and communication was lost.
At the same time, the Super Heavy rocket carrier successfully landed at the Starbase launch pad in the US state of Texas.
This is the second test this year during which one of the rocket parts exploded.
