Rfi.fr reports that French artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI has signed a partnership agreement with Cerebras Systems to create an app.
Cerebras Systems is a company backed by UAE technology conglomerate G42 that develops artificial intelligence chips. According to Mistral, Le Chat can answer users’ questions at a speed of 1,000 words per second, making it the world’s fastest AI assistant and allowing Le Chat to surpass OpenAI and DeepSeek.
Thus, Mistral AI aims to compete with other open-source AI technology developers, such as Meta Platforms and China’s DeepSeek, which shocked global markets late last month with their low costs and high performance.
Mistral launched the Le Chat app on Thursday.
