Volvo and Waabi to produce driverless trucks

Reuters reports that technology company Waabi has announced a partnership with carmaker Volvo to produce unmanned trucks. This will help reduce costs in the event of a shortage of truck drivers.

“We are creating technology that can be used in various sectors, including freight transportation. Right now, Waabi is focused on trucks. Still, in the future, we intend to work on robot taxis, humanoid robots, and other innovations,” said Raquel Urtasun, CEO of Waabi, in an interview with Reuters.
