The first Chinese humanoid robot training center has been launched in Shanghai.
According to the Chinese Yicai Global periodical, the robots will be taught to perform various tasks. The data will be passed on to the developers to improve the models further. The Chinese base initially expects a maximum of 100 robots, and they will be taught more than 10 basic scenarios.
According to scientists, the project will allow Shanghai to become an industrial center for humanoid robots. In the future, companies developing artificial intelligence models can use the data collected during the database's operation.
By the end of the year, the city's hospitals will perform almost twice as many operations in trauma and orthopedics, including those using robotic equipment.
The innovation center was established in Shanghai in May last year. It has already introduced its first humanoid robot, a 185 cm tall 82 kg model that can walk fast, overcome obstacles, climb and descend slopes, and withstand impacts.
