Speaking at the US Space Force Association convention in Orlando, Florida, he said the first such devices launched in September 2023 were still in the testing phase, and he writes the periodical.
The Space Force and the US National Intelligence Agency plan to put the satellites into test operation in early 2025.
"As soon as they are tested and verified, information from them will begin to flow into our operational databases," Whiting said.
