According to The Information, the iPhone 17 Air will become Apple's thinnest smartphone (5–6 mm), excluding a SIM card slot. The device will use Apple's own 5G modem.
The presence of a thin frame also forced one to abandon the second speaker and leave one primary camera.
Apple has yet to release an iPhone outside the U.S. that doesn't have a physical SIM card slot.
