The American company OpenAI has announced the development of a new product, SearchGPT, an artificial intelligence-based search engine.
SearchGPT is currently an experimental version, "a prototype of new search features designed to combine the power of our artificial intelligence models with information from the web to provide fast and timely answers based on understandable and relevant sources."
"The Verge" describes the working principle of SearchGPT as follows: the system not only provides several links with the search term but also tries to sort and make sense of them. As in the ChatGPT chatbot, the user can ask the system additional clarifying questions when the search results appear.
