The price of the default search engine for the iPhone, iPad, and many other devices has increased, and recently released court documents in the US Justice Department's antitrust case against Google state that the tech giant will pay more than $20 billion to consolidate its role as the default search engine in Apple's Safari browser.
That's at least $2 billion more than the price Google paid Apple in 2021. According to court filings, Google paid Apple about $18 billion that year, more than $1 billion monthly.
