The Tesla company has told sellers that it wants to start production of a new electric car for the mass market, the code name of which is Redwood. According to rumors, it will enter the market in mid-2025 and will be in the compact crossover class.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has long tapped fan and investor preferences for affordable electric cars and self-driving robot taxis, which are expected to be produced more cheaply on next-generation electric vehicle platforms.
