Russia's technological backwardness and liquefied gas

The Russian authorities have set an extremely ambitious goal to triple the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by the end of 2030. Achieving that goal will be extremely problematic, as Russia does not have the appropriate technologies for gas liquefaction, and all current projects within the country have been created through the mediation of Western companies that have left the Russian market.

Therefore, Russia should not increase production, but actually create the necessary technologies from scratch, and all this under the conditions of technological blockade of Western countries.
