Car sales in the European Union rose by 12.8% in December compared to the same month in 2021, while at the end of last year, they fell by 4.6% and became the lowest since 1993. This is stated in the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) statement.
Sales volumes are still far below the pre-epidemic level. In November 2019, they exceeded 1 million vehicles.
