19-year-old grandmaster wins FIDE Chess World Cup

The Chess Federation of Armenia announced that the winner of the 2025 FIDE Chess World Cup was 19-year-old grandmaster Zhavokhir Sindarov from Uzbekistan.

The silver medal went to grandmaster Wei Ying from China.

Grandmaster Andrey Yesipenko rounded out the top three from Russia.

These three chess players qualified for the 2026 Candidates Tournament.
