Fans of the Haitian national team may not be able to attend the World Cup games in the United States due to the current entry ban for Haitian citizens, The New York Times (NYT) reported.
The newspaper noted that in June, US President Donald Trump banned citizens of 12 countries, including Haiti, from entering the United States due to security concerns.
If the situation continues, the current ban will apply to fans, but not to the soccer team, since athletes are exempt under the relevant law.
