Armenia wins its 4th gold medal at the European Youth and Under-23 Championships in Durres, Albania.
In the 86 kg weightlifting competition, Armenian national team member Emma Poghosyan had three successful attempts in the snatch, lifting 100 kg, 103 kg, and 105 kg in succession. Poghosyan was third in this exercise. In the clean and jerk, our weightlifter lifted 131 kg and 136 kg, setting a European record in the process. She was first in this form.
With a combined result of 241 kg, Emma Poghosyan became the champion of the European Youth Championship.
