A new scandal has erupted in Turkish football. According to Daily Sabah, the country's Football Federation (TFF) has conducted an internal investigation and found that a significant number of current football referees have ties to bookmakers.
The results of the federation's study surprised everyone: 371 out of 571 referees have betting accounts, and 152 regularly place bets.
The federation promises to take strict measures: all referees found will face disqualification, and in some cases, the transfer of materials to law enforcement agencies.
