The Brazilian national team suffered its first defeat under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
In the final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round, the “seleção” lost 0:1 away to Bolivia and as a result took 5th place.
Ancelotti has been in charge of the team since May of this year. Under his leadership, the team drew with Ecuador (0:0) in the qualifying tournament and won against Paraguay (1:0) and Chile (3:0).
It should be noted that the Argentine national team also suffered a narrow defeat. The “Albiceleste” lost to Ecuador in the away match with a score of 0:1.
