Former Real Madrid player Raul could be the new head coach of Bayer Leverkusen.
The German club announced on Monday that Erik ten Hag has been sacked as head coach.
According to Marca, Bayer has three candidates on its shortlist: Raul, Edin Terzic, and Marko Rosen. A decision on the appointment of a new coach will be made no earlier than the end of this week.
Raul led Real Madrid's youth team for six years and left in May of this year. Terzic led Borussia Dortmund from 2022 to 2024. Rosen's last club was RB Leipzig, where he worked from 2022 to 2025.
