Roger Federer joins the list of billionaire athletes

Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer, who retired in 2022, has officially joined the world's wealthiest athletes, according to Forbes. His fortune is estimated at around $1.1 billion (about €940 million).

Federer has won 103 titles on the court in 24 years, including 20 Grand Slams, and has held the world number one ranking for 310 weeks.

Federer has collaborated with brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, Moët & Chandon, and Uniqlo. He signed a 10-year, $300 million deal with the latter in 2018. In addition, his investment in the Swiss sports shoe brand On, of which Federer owns about 3%, has also been successful.

Thus, Federer has become a member of the elite club of "billionaire athletes", which already includes Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, and Floyd Mayweather.
