Poland national team head coach resigns

After a conflict with Robert Lewandowski, the head coach of Poland announced his resignation.

“I have concluded that in the current situation, the best decision for the benefit of the national team is my resignation from the post of head coach.

I want to thank all the players I have had the pleasure of meeting along the way,” said Michal Probież.

On June 10, the Polish national team lost 1:2 to the Finnish national team in the 4th round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Earlier, striker Robert Lewandowski announced that he would not play for the national team due to “loss of trust in the coach” when he was stripped of the captaincy.
