Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final to become the first team to win in years.
The London team won the match with a goal scored by Brennan Johnson in the 42nd minute.
This is Tottenham's first trophy in England since 2008 when they beat Chelsea 2-1 in the League Cup final.
Tottenham also won their first European title since 1984. In the 1983/84 season, Tottenham won the UEFA Cup, defeating Anderlecht in the final over two legs. The team has not won a European competition since then.
In addition, the victory allowed Ange Postecoglou's team to qualify for the 2025/2026 UEFA Champions League season despite its 17th-place finish in the Premier League.
