Cristiano Ronaldo believes Vinicius deserved the Ballon d'Or.
The Real Madrid winger finished second in the voting for the award last season behind Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
"I was surprised. He should have won the Ballon d'Or. He won the Champions League and made a difference. I was sad for Vinicius. He deserved the award.
I've had that feeling twice. It makes you feel helpless. But then I realized... You shouldn't get involved in battles you can't win," said Al Nasr forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
