The club's press service announced that Niko Kovac has been appointed Borussia Dortmund's new head coach. Kovac replaces Nuri Sahin, who was dismissed on January 22.
The 53-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2026. He will take office on Sunday after the match against Heidenheim.
Kovac's last job was at Wolfsburg. The coach led the team from May 2022 to March 2024.
