The Italian "Piacenza" football club fired two coaches in one day. Management announced a day ago that sports director Alessio Sestu and head coach Carmine Parlato are leaving their positions. The latter was replaced by Simone Bentivolio, who lasted only a day in his new position.
"We terminated the contract with Simone Bentivolio by mutual consent. From now on, Stefano Rossini will head the team," the club's statement reads.
The reason for terminating the contract with the specialist was the fans' discontent, who announced that they would boycott the matches if Bentivolio continued to occupy this position. The fans reminded the specialist of the scandal related to fixed matches in 2011. The Italian coach admitted his guilt and was suspended for 13 months. The club's management dismissed the appointed coach on the same day.
After the 12th round of Serie D of the Italian Championship, "Piacenza" is in 11th place with 14 points.
