According to El Chiringuito, the defender discussed with the club the possibility of signing a short-term contract until the end of the season. Real president Florentino Perez and club director Jose Angel Sanchez thanked Ramos for the offer but turned it down.
Ramos, 38, is a free agent after leaving Sevilla in June. Sergio played for Real from 2005-2021.
Remember that defenders Daniel Carvajal, Eder Militao, David Alaba, and Lucas Vazquez were injured in Real Madrid. Due to cruciate ligament tears, Carvajal and Militao will miss the rest of the season.
