13 gold medals. Armenian weightlifters registered an unprecedented result

Petros Petrosyan, a member of the men's weightlifting team of Armenia, became a gold medalist in the super-heavyweight competition of the U23 European Championship, which ended in Poland, with a result of 384 kg.

In the snatch exercise, Petrosyan held the barbell weighing 166 kg above his head and became a small bronze medalist. In the push exercise, he took first place with a result of 218 kg.

Armenia's other representative in this weight category is Yasha Minasyan, who is 7th with a result of 354 kg.

In the U20 competition, Armenia's other representative, +109 kg Ashot Movsisyan, won a silver medal with a result of 359 kg in the doubles.

Thus, Armenian youth and young weightlifters showed unprecedented results at the European U20 and U23 Championship held in Rasin, Poland, winning 13 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals in the doubles.

Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg), Anna Amroyan (76 kg), Emma Poghosyan (81 kg), and Julieta Avanesyan (+87 kg) were declared the winners of the Armenian youth weightlifting team in the U20 championship. In the boys competition, Zhora Grigoryan (55 kg), Narek Mkrtchyan (81 kg) and Alexander Lazaryan (102 kg) became gold medalists, Rafik Minasyan (61 kg) and Ashot Movsisyan (+109 kg) won silver, and Martin Poghosyan (73 kg) and Valerik Movsisyan (89 kg) - bronze medals.

Liana Gyurjian (87 kg) won gold medals in the under-23 competition, Garnik Cholakyan (61 kg), Gor Sahakyan (73 kg), Suren Grigoryan (89 kg), Garik Karapetyan (109 kg) and Petros Petrosyan (+ 109 kg). Milena Khachatryan (81 kg), Margarita Arakelyan (87 kg), and Mary Tumasyan (+87 kg) became silver medal winners, while Karen Margaryan (81 kg) and Mnatsakan Abrahamyan (89 kg) won bronze medals.
