UEFA reacted to the actions of "Real."
Vinicius, the winger of the Madrid club, did not receive the Ballon d'Or, finishing second in the voting. The award was won by "Manchester City" midfielder Rodri.
The "Real" delegation did not participate in the awarding ceremony. In an unofficial statement, the club suggested that UEFA president Alexander Ceferin may be behind the decision not to hand over the award to Vinicius.
"If they announce something like that, it says everything about them. And it is not worth further comments from our side," Relevo quoted a high-ranking UEFA official.
