Your example will inspire and motivate our children. The minister Elina Avanesyan

RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan today received tennis player Elina Avanesyan, who is ranked 49th in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings and has already participated in several international tournaments under the RA flag.

The meeting was also attended by Karen Giloyan, Deputy Minister of KGSMS, Gevorg Karamanukyan, Executive Director of the Tennis Federation of Armenia, and Vanane Ararktsyan, Executive Director of "Keron" Development Fund.

Zhanna Andreasyan welcomed Elina Avanesyan's decision to perform under the RA flag. The minister also congratulated the Armenian athlete who celebrates her 22nd birthday today.

"It is a great honor and pride for us to see you representing Armenia. I am sure that your example will inspire and motivate our children to play tennis and be more actively involved in sports. I believe that you will have great success, which will also contribute to the popularization and development of tennis in our country. We follow your competitions with enthusiasm and excitement. I am sure that the positive energy of all of us will push you to new victories," Zhanna Andreasyan said.

Elina Avanesyan thanked for the reception and admitted that she is very proud to perform under the flag of the Republic of Armenia. He expressed hope that he would be able to contribute to the development and popularization of sports in our country. The tennis player said that she met more than 100 children yesterday in Yerevan, held a master class with them, and shared advice. Avanesyan also distributed autographs and took photos with them.

"My impressions are indescribable. It was a great experience. I get a lot of support here, which is very exciting for me," admitted the 22-year-old athlete.

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education informed that in the 2024-2030 strategy of RA physical culture and sports, a great place is also allocated to the development of tennis, and cooperation with professional athletes and the use of their potential is essential.

According to Vanane Ararktsyan, executive director of "The Keron" development fund, within five months of its activity, the fund has already managed to implement several successful projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture. According to him, it is a great honor for them to support sports and cultural figures, as well as those projects that will contribute to the development and raising of the reputation of Armenia.

During the meeting, issues related to Elina Avanesyan's participation in the upcoming tournaments, as well as the implementation of the necessary steps for the development of tennis in our country, were also discussed.
