Official: Pochettino led the USA team

Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed the new head coach of the US national team.

The Argentinian replaces Gregg Berhalter, who was sacked for failing to qualify for the Copa America in the summer.
52-year-old Pochettino will prepare the US national team for the 2026 World Cup.

The coach worked in Chelsea last season. During his reign, the "blues" took sixth place in the Premier League and entered the conference league. In May, Pochettino left the London club.
