Legendary striker Luis Suarez has announced his retirement from the Uruguayan national team. The former striker of "Liverpool," "Barcelona," and "Atletico" made his debut in Charua's team on February 7, 2007, in a match against Colombia.
Suarez played 141 matches on the national team, scored 69 goals, and is currently considered the best scorer in history.
As part of the Uruguayan team, Suarez won the Copa America in 2011, and 2024, he helped Charua reach the finals, where they lost to Argentina.
