Athletes complained about the Paris Olympic Village

L'Equipe reported that athletes complained about the lack of food in the Paris-2024 Olympic Village.

According to the source, the organizers had to ration the food so that there would be enough for everyone. For example, athletes have complained about the speed of replenishing stocks of chicken eggs and other products.

The manager of the Sodexo Live restaurant said that he is monitoring the athletes' feedback and actively working to adjust the supply to the increase in capacity of the restaurants in the Olympic Village and to the actual consumption observed in the first days.

Carrefour, responsible for supplying 600 tonnes of fresh food to feed athletes during the games, confirmed that the first estimates of the food consumed had asked it to consider an increase in pre-planned supply volumes that the company could meet.

Earlier, the female handball players of the Swedish team were dissatisfied with the mattresses made of fishing nets that the organizers of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris equipped the beds of the Olympic Village.
