Chelsea will reward Cole Palmer for an excellent performance.
Having moved from Manchester City to Chelsea last summer, the 22-year-old midfielder signed a 7-year contract (with an option to extend for one year and a salary of around £80,000 per week). This is one of the lowest salaries among England national team players. His salary was just over a quarter of what Raheem Sterling earned.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea is taking this into account and will gradually increase Palmer's wages to better reflect his importance and excellent performances. The changes are expected to remain confidential. Instead of announcing a new contract for Palmer, Chelsea is likely to quietly settle the salary issue in the current contract with bonus funds.
The Nobles expect Cole to stay at the club for the next ten years.
